A little about Matthew
Matt is a multi-faceted problem solver, driven by a passion for service to his clients and a devotion to lifelong learning. Utilizing a listen-first, consultative approach to real estate and having a natural knack for exceeding expectations has allowed Matt to establish a successful business built on referrals from satisfied clients who want their family and friends to experience Matt’s exceptional service.
After growing up in the Bay Area (as part of a real estate family) Matt attended UC Santa Barbara on a D-1 Volleyball Scholarship, where he graduated with a double major and minor. It only took one visit to the beautiful beaches of L.A. for Matt to make the decision this community was where he wanted to settle down and make a home.
Before joining Sotheby’s Matt Owned the Apparel Line “Groceries Apparel” which ran its own factory in downtown Los Angeles. Involved from the ground up, Matt oversaw the brand’s sales, marketing, and design, employing 50+ people, and creating millions of garments from exclusively sustainable materials. Groceries Apparel was featured in the Los Angeles Times and could be found at Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, as well as over 3,000 boutiques worldwide.
In his downtime, you can find Matt gardening, riding his bike, playing beach volleyball, or hiking in the local mountains, likely accompanied by his wife Kim, young son Walker, baby daughter Naomi, and dog Wolfgang.
